- Kadme currently works exclusively within the Oil and Gas market, but we want to diversify our client portfolio. Our new application will support this strategic objective. The application will leverage our expertise with subsurface data to bring spatial search and automated geo-referencing to other industries. Any business that has unstructured documents describing assets that have a geographic dimension can benefit from this technology. Examples include renewables, legal firms and municipalities, to name a few. We have already started the marketing activities around this project, to identify a name for the product and a visual identity for it. This new product will work on top of our data integration platform, taking advantage of more than 13 years of development history. Another aspect that the new application needs to cover is the need for it to run on mobile phones and tablets, and therefore to have a very responsive interface. For this purpose we will collaborate with a company specialised in User Interfaces, that will work closely with our software developers. Some of the development needs we have identified, especially in the area of Natural Language Processing, are too vast for us to address as part of the project, and we will therefore engage companies that already possess this expertise, with the purpose of integrating their technologies into our new product.

- Whereoil is an advanced data integration platform built specifically for the oil and gas industry, designed to connect to several information sources, both structured and unstructured, allowing the extraction of all the content from well log headers, seismic files, Office documents and many other data types. We offer also a robust API that can be used to exchange information efficiently with other applications. Today Whereoil is a mature software solution that has many customers around the world, including the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, which uses it for the Diskos data repository, for the benefit of all the oil companies operating on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Recently, oil companies have started to become attracted by Cloud Computing, as a mechanism to cut cost and help them focus on their core business, instead of being impeded by IT obstacles.
