    EMerald Geomodelling AS provides specialised geo-services to the infrastructure industry. Using unique expertise and proprietary algorithms, we deliver precise geological 3D models to planners, consultants and project owners for, among other things, large scale infrastructure projects such as railway and road planning. Our typical customers are geotechnical consulting firms and construction companies. EMerald Geomodelling has been established as a spin-out from the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) based on research conducted over the previous 10 years. This R&D project focuses on developing new interpretation techniques and products along with a standardised data workflow that adapts and improves existing internal tools. The overall goals are: * Moving from interpreting boundaries (soil / rock) to properties (soil-type, rock-type, etc.) and general material classification * including other surveying technique beyond aerial electro-magnetic (AEM) data * Increase the speed and efficiency of the workflow. * Improve the resolution of modelling products. * Develop new quality control and communication tools in 3D. * Develop an external solution for the rapid creation of complete geological models. This will help the construction industry to move away from static reports to continuously updated interactive sub- surface models
