    The background for the project is to develop a system for smart parking of many bikes in small enclosures, especially suited for work places, blocks of flats, public areas, hotels and bike hire depots. The Alta Park Smart Hub micro-mobility parking systen includes a locking system, charging system for electric bikes, tracking and fleet management system, and servie utility, and shall be modularised. The company has developed several bicycles types in the past, and see a need to also offer a smart parking, tracking, charging and repository facility that includes other single and dual passenger devices, also those with electric motors. This system will have an advanced digital fleet management system, also available to the user, and include charging of electrical vehicles. The original idea for the prosjekt has its roots from the Oslo Bysykkel project from 2003, developed for Oslo Kommune. There are 2 generations of city bike systems delivered to Oslo by Frost Produkt. Both have in-house developed Fleet Management systems, tailored to these systems. The Alta Park Smart Hub´s vision is to create a seamless urban transportation experience, and a more universal solution to include a large variety of transportation devices. We imagine expanding Oslo bike sharing system to include multiple transport devices. Through Oslo Bysykkel and other mobility projects we have built a high level of competence with regard to locking mechanisms, mobility solutions, GPS tracking, collective sharing, product-, service- and interaction-development. Through other relevant projects such as Alta Bike One (2004), AltaBike 2019 Upgrade and ShareBike Rack project we have gathered expertise and insights from users that we can apply and take advantage of during the Alta Park Smart Hub Project, and will help us to develop the best solution.
