    sammendrag:
Fred. Olsen Renewables is a developer, owner, and operator in renewable energy with history back to the mid-1990s. Based on a solid position in UK and Scandinavia with 12 operating wind farms, we are expanding into new countries and new technologies. An increased focus on development over the last few years has led to a total project pipeline of ~4 GW in onshore and offshore wind. In addition, we are developing several prospects within both wind and solar energy. Marine floating solar (FPV) is one of our key strategic focus areas. FPV systems deployed in marine environments (either near-shore or off-shore) are the next solar energy frontier and comes with a vast growth potential. In this project, we aim to advance existing FPV technology for open sea conditions by means of a testing and qualification project where we will benchmark several promising FPV technologies through laboratory and full scale pilot installations. Collection of results and data from the testing will be used to calibrate digital models and design optimisation recommendations. As a result we can de-risk the development of site specific utility size FPV projects through selecting fit for purpose technology. Selecting the right technologies and system solutions greatly impacts the lifetime cost and the level of energy produced.
