A previous study funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers for the Environment and Climate found the following knowledge gaps: Pitch owners and sport clubs are uncertain about the level of performance and functionality of sustainable alternatives to synthetic sport pitches containing rubber granules in different Nordic conditions. Pitch owners and sport clubs lack knowledge on how to evaluate the environmental impact of the alternative sustainable synthetic sport pitches. Pitch owners and sport clubs lack knowledge on how they can evaluate the investment and lifetime costs of different synthetic sport pitches. The background and project activities foreseen to be executed under this project are further described in appendix 1 to the Contract.

The Helse Vest region is currently in a unique (inter)national position to prove the real innovative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in pathology diagnostics.Currently many different AI tools and image analyses software packages have been CE-IVD approved for use in clinical routine practice, but until now very few pathology departments have implemented these computer-aided diagnostic (CAD) tools in daily clinical practice.The four pathology departments in Helse Vest aim to implement AI tools to enhance the efficiency, speed and objectivity of pathology diagnostics. More importantly, patients will benefit from superior tissue diagnostics that forms the basis for personalized treatment.The short-term goal is to purchase and implement AI tools for:•Automatic quantification of proliferation biomarker KI67 in breast cancer (Sub Contract 01)•Automatic detection and grading of prostate cancer. (Sub Contract 02)An important partner in this project will be Helse Vest IKT because the AI tools to be acquired have to be integrated with our IMS Sectra.Helse Sør-Øst operates 8 pathology departments and is participating in the competition with the option to enter into similar agreements as Helse Vest.

- The Fluid Mechanics group at NTNU wishes to extend our existing flow measurement capabilities to include the ability to simultaneously measure heat-release/temperature/species (scalar) fields in reacting flows with a new dual LIF system. We currently have a two stereoscopic PIV systems from LaVision GmbH which comprise of 2 low-speed lasers (10 Hz), 4 (25Mpx) PIV cameras and 3 (5Mpx) sCMOS cameras, frame grabbers, acquisition PCs, the timing and triggering units and the PIV acquisition and processing software. We now require integration of a high power LIF system that can measure multiple species. We wish to purchase a dual laser induced fluorescence (LIF) system for combustion diagnostics (OH and NH PLIF)) which needs to also be integrated with existing equipment in the Thermofluids research group at NTNU. The system must provide two separate dye lasers and two pump lasers, where one of the pump lasers must be able to provide at least 50-60 millijoules of energy per pulse in the ultraviolet (for OH-PLIF) whereas the second pump laser must be able to deliver 25-30 millijoules of energy per pulse. Image intensifiers and cameras, power meters, optics, acquisition and software that is compatible with our existing systems must be included. For this reason, we need to purchase it from the same manufacturer as our existing laser systems (due to the hardware we cannot integrate LaVision equipment with their competitors’ systems, and vice versa). Purchasing a similar system from another supplier would result in duplications of much of the hardware already in our laboratory but without the compatibility of combining the new hardware with our existing equipment to make a larger system with multiple lasers and cameras to perform simultaneous measurements. Integration with existing systems is essential to several ongoing projects funded by the EU. It is thus imperative that we purchase the new systems from the original supplier.

The trains are designed by Pininfarina, produced by AnsaldoBreda and were delivered between 2002 and 2006. Class 72 have now reached half of the programmed life and to keep a modern standard and comfort a midlife upgrade is necessary. The estimated date for the announced competition is late September 2017. The deadline for submitting applications for participation will be approx. November 2017. Expected award of contract is February 2018. The first train set shall be ready for use in late 2018. NT expects the deliverances to be completed within 2021.

A previous study funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers for the Environment and Climate found the following knowledge gaps: Pitch owners and sport clubs are uncertain about the level of performance and functionality of sustainable alternatives to synthetic sport pitches containing rubber granules in different Nordic conditions. Pitch owners and sport clubs lack knowledge on how to evaluate the environmental impact of the alternative sustainable synthetic sport pitches. Pitch owners and sport clubs lack knowledge on how they can evaluate the investment and lifetime costs of different synthetic sport pitches. The background and project activities foreseen to be executed under this project are further described in appendix 1 to the Contract.

The Helse Vest region is currently in a unique (inter)national position to prove the real innovative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in pathology diagnostics.Currently many different AI tools and image analyses software packages have been CE-IVD approved for use in clinical routine practice, but until now very few pathology departments have implemented these computer-aided diagnostic (CAD) tools in daily clinical practice.The four pathology departments in Helse Vest aim to implement AI tools to enhance the efficiency, speed and objectivity of pathology diagnostics. More importantly, patients will benefit from superior tissue diagnostics that forms the basis for personalized treatment.The short-term goal is to purchase and implement AI tools for:•Automatic quantification of proliferation biomarker KI67 in breast cancer (Sub Contract 01)•Automatic detection and grading of prostate cancer. (Sub Contract 02)An important partner in this project will be Helse Vest IKT because the AI tools to be acquired have to be integrated with our IMS Sectra.Helse Sør-Øst operates 8 pathology departments and is participating in the competition with the option to enter into similar agreements as Helse Vest.

- The Fluid Mechanics group at NTNU wishes to extend our existing flow measurement capabilities to include the ability to simultaneously measure heat-release/temperature/species (scalar) fields in reacting flows with a new dual LIF system. We currently have a two stereoscopic PIV systems from LaVision GmbH which comprise of 2 low-speed lasers (10 Hz), 4 (25Mpx) PIV cameras and 3 (5Mpx) sCMOS cameras, frame grabbers, acquisition PCs, the timing and triggering units and the PIV acquisition and processing software. We now require integration of a high power LIF system that can measure multiple species. We wish to purchase a dual laser induced fluorescence (LIF) system for combustion diagnostics (OH and NH PLIF)) which needs to also be integrated with existing equipment in the Thermofluids research group at NTNU. The system must provide two separate dye lasers and two pump lasers, where one of the pump lasers must be able to provide at least 50-60 millijoules of energy per pulse in the ultraviolet (for OH-PLIF) whereas the second pump laser must be able to deliver 25-30 millijoules of energy per pulse. Image intensifiers and cameras, power meters, optics, acquisition and software that is compatible with our existing systems must be included. For this reason, we need to purchase it from the same manufacturer as our existing laser systems (due to the hardware we cannot integrate LaVision equipment with their competitors’ systems, and vice versa). Purchasing a similar system from another supplier would result in duplications of much of the hardware already in our laboratory but without the compatibility of combining the new hardware with our existing equipment to make a larger system with multiple lasers and cameras to perform simultaneous measurements. Integration with existing systems is essential to several ongoing projects funded by the EU. It is thus imperative that we purchase the new systems from the original supplier.

The trains are designed by Pininfarina, produced by AnsaldoBreda and were delivered between 2002 and 2006. Class 72 have now reached half of the programmed life and to keep a modern standard and comfort a midlife upgrade is necessary. The estimated date for the announced competition is late September 2017. The deadline for submitting applications for participation will be approx. November 2017. Expected award of contract is February 2018. The first train set shall be ready for use in late 2018. NT expects the deliverances to be completed within 2021.
