Oppdragsgiver er Statsbygg og leietaker i bygget er Universitetet på Innlandet. Den største delen av ombyggingen er i bibliotekets del i C-bygget (Alf Prøysens hus). Det er lagt inn opsjoner for enkel ombyggingav biblioteket i B-bygget (Peter Balkes Hus). C-bygget ble bygget i 2002 og B-bygget er fra 1971. Prosjektets hoveddel er på ca 480 kvm lokalisert over en etasje, 2. etg i C-bygget. Det berørte arealet i B-bygget er på ca 448 kvm. Bygget er et Universitetsbygg med ulike studieretninger, blant annet barnehagelærerutdanning, grunnskolelærerutdanning, språkfag og IT-fag.
