  Sjukehuset Ålesund ønsker samme type endoskopvaskemaskiner som allerede er kjøpt slik at maskinparken blir helhetlig. Maskinene skal bruke samme innsatser (kurver) på tvers av maskinene. Avdelingen har 2 stykker Olympus «Premium prewash» stasjoner som bruker Olympus Endo prezyme. Kjemi i endoskopi vaskemaskin skal være kompatibelt med denne. I tillegg ser avdelingen fordel med å kunne ha service på maskinparken tilknyttet bare en leverandør da man mener at dette vil være både tids- og kostnadsbesparende da det kreves mindre administrasjon av utstyret. Det er ikke planlagt tørkeskap ved sterilsentralen, slik at skopene skal være helt tørre etter vask for å være klar for transport. Dette krever at endoskopvaskemaskinene oppfyller krav EN ISO 15883-1/2/4 punkt 6,8 for tørk. Dette er samme standard som praktiseres for tørkeskap.
