  Sandvika sentrum øst er i ferd med å utvikles til en ny bydel i Sandvika. I den forbindelse skal Bærum kommune utlyse konkurranse for sine arbeider på offentlige gater, plasser og infrastruktur. Tentativ tidspunkt for utlysning er høsten 2023. Bærum kommune skal være en klimaklok kommune som bidrar til å redusere utslippene av klimagasser og har nedfelt følgende målsetninger i klimastrategien. «Delmål 1.1.2 - I 2030 er all bygg- og anleggsvirksomhet i Bærum utslippsfri» Våre virkemidler for å nå målene: Kreve utslippsfrie bygg- og anleggsmaskiner i kommunale prosjekter.Være pådriver for utslippsfri teknologi i utbyggingsprosjekter i Bærum.Forutsigbar innkjøper i det offentlige vedrørende utslippsfrie bygg- og anleggsplasser. Sandvika sentrum øst skal transformeres og vil om noen år være en ny bydel. Se vedlagte oversiktstegning LB-102 og presentasjonsfolder. Andenæs Eiendom AS har igangsatt utbygging av Helgerudkvartalet (S7 og S8). I tillegg har de startet prosjektering av Andeneskvartalet (S5). Entra er i gang med grunnarbeider og prosjektering av Tinghuskvartalet (S2). Entra som utbygger av Tinghuskvartalet skal også bygge Tinghustrappen. Bærum kommune skal samtidig med disse prosjektene bygge offentlige gater, plasser og teknisk infrastruktur. Entreprisen vil omfatte opparbeidelse av Jørgen Kanitz gate, Rådmann Halmrasts vei, Kinoveien, Stasjonstorget og deler av Rådhustorget. I tillegg skal den omfatte bygging av et ny kulvert med installasjoner nederst på Stasjonstorget mot Jernbaneundergangene (ca. 40 meter). Det er allerede inngått avtaler om bygging av, og innredning av, teknisk kulvert i Jørgen Kanitz gate. Det legges opp til at opparbeidelse av Åmotbakken og Tinghusplassen blir utført i senere separate entrepriser.
