  Gjennom tidligere avtale har ECIT hatt det totale ansvaret for drift og vedlikehold av kommunens nettverks- og sikkerhetsprodukter. ECIT har hatt kontrakt de siste fire årene. Avtalen gikk ut i desember. Det jobbes nå med å etablere et datarom i Azure, som dagens løsninger skal flyttes til. Dette arbeidet har pågått siden våren 21. Design og bygging av datarommet i Azure er nå tilstrekkelig utviklet og kommunen jobber med et konkurransegrunnlag som blant annet vil inneholde drift og vedlikehold av all infrastruktur i Azure, samt drift av klienter, nettverks- og sikkerhetsprodukter. Konkurransen er forventet publisert i løpet av første kvartal 2023. For å sikre kontinuitet i tjenesteleveransene, er kommunen avhengig av tjenestene fra ECIT fram til ny kontrakt er inngått og tjenestene som følger av denne er på plass. Kommunens vurdering er at det ikke er realistisk å midlertidig erstatte ECIT sine tjenesteleveranser og har derfor intensjon om å inngå en driftsavtale med ECIT etter en direkteanskaffelse gjort iht. forskriftens § 13-4 bokstav b nr. 2.
