  Vågan kommune ønsker å tilrettelegge for folk i alle aldere ved opparbeidelse av en asfaltert pumptrack som er både utfordrende og kreativ, og samtidig sikker med tanke på eventuelle muligheter for krasj mellom brukerne. Pumptracken skal brukes av bmx, skateboard, terrengsykler, rullestol og sparkesykler. Det vil også være et krav at kreativiteten strekker seg slik at det også blir etablert en grønn løype-felt i pumptracken for brukerne som søker mindre utfordringer enn kanskje primærgruppen. Dette gjelder eksempelvis brukergruppene, de yngste, eldste, og funksjonshemmede. Asfalten bør være 10 cm tykk og legges i to lag pga. værforhold og kulde, for å sikre et godt resultat uten sprekker i årene fremover. Dette er ikke et krav, men det bes om redegjørelse for tykkelse av asfalten i tilbudet om annen tykkelse skal brukes. Uten annen informasjon regnes 10 cm tykk asfalt som gjeldende for pumptracken. Garantier for sprekker og misdannelser gis av utførende entreprenør.
