  Det er behov for betydelig omstilling i Grong kommune i årene fremover, blant annet med bakgrunn i kommunens økonomiske situasjon og behovet for mer effektiv drift. Derfor ble det i 2020 igangsatt en utviklingsprosess med fokus på ledelse og medarbeiderutvikling. Kommunen har et ønske om å videreføre denne prosessen, men med mer fokus på strukturert lederutvikling og på utvikling av kommunens organisasjonskultur. Grong kommune ønsker derfor å kombinere et helhetlig lederutviklingsprogram med en systematisk prosess for utvikling av kommunens organisasjonskultur. Prosjektets del om lederutvikling skal gi lederne i Grong kommune et kompetanseløft innenfor ledelse, både på individnivå og som gruppe. Gjennom lederutviklingsprogrammet skal Grong kommune utvikle ledere med en felles identitet, helhetlig ansvarsfølelse og en felles plattform for ledelse. For å skape en læringsprosess som gir effekt over tid er det hensiktsmessig med en utviklingsprosess som går over et visst tidsrom, og det legges opp til totalt 6 samlinger med temaene: 1. Ledelse - nå og i framtida 2. Organisasjonskultur - første del 3. Selvbevissthet og teambygging 4. Leders rolle i arbeidsmiljøet 5. Kultur for samspill og utvikling 6. Organisasjonskultur - siste del Parallelt vil det gjennomføres en arbeidsstrøm med fokus på organisasjonskultur, som gjennomføres i tett samspill med lederutviklingen. Som ledd i dette arbeidet skal det kartlegges eksisterende og ønsket kultur blant alle ansatte og ledere i Grong kommune, og det skal gjennomføres workshops i regi av både kommunens egne ledere og PwCs konsulenter for å utvikle et målbilde og konkrete tiltak for ønsket kultur. Prosjektet forutsetter at de valgte konsulentene har inngående kjennskap til ledelse i kommunal sektor, til rammebetingelsene for distriktskommunene i Trøndelag, samt for utvikling av organisasjonskultur.
