Brofinansiering, eller Social Bridging er en modell utviklet av The Robertsen Trust i Skottland. Modellen Innebærer at en sosial investor finansierer et tiltak i en bestemt prøveperiode, og at en offentlig part overtar / viderefører finansieringen dersom viss forhåndsbestemte resultater oppnås. I dette tilfellet er det Ferd Sosiale Entreprenører AS som tilbyr seg å finansiere et tiltak levert av Trygg av Natur AS. Dersom forhåndsbestemte resultater oppnås forplikter Lier kommune seg til å videreføre tiltaket, samt tilbakebetale Ferd opptil 50% av investeringen. Ferd finansierer Trygg av Natur tiltak i Lier kommune med 3 millioner - 1.5 millioner av disse kan bli tilbakebetalt av Lier kommune dersom forhåndsbestemte resultater oppnås. Avtalen, inkludert videreføring og langsiktig evaluering strekker seg fra 2019-2025. Trygg av Natur er en sosial entreprenør som bruker naturen som mestringsarena. I Lier kommune skal Trygg av Natur tilby Naturskolen og Naturdag. Tilbudet er særlig egnet for ungdom som ønsker å styrke evnen til å håndtere stress, press og samspill med andre. I tillegg skal Trygg av Natur tilby de ansatte i skolen kompetanse om livsmestring og gjøre skolen i stand til å videreføre tilbudet i egen regi. Det kortsiktige målet med tiltaket er at lærere og elevene rapporterer forbedringer knyttet til livsmestring, redusert stress og press. Det langsiktige målet er en økt grad av gjennomføring av videregående skole i gruppen som har deltatt på Naturskolen. Både det kortsiktige og langsiktige målet vil bli evaluert ved hjelp av forhåndsbestemte indikatorer. Lier kommune er ikke forpliktet til å gjøre noen utbetalinger i prosjektet dersom de forhåndsbestemte resultatene ikke oppnås. Lier kommune har som intensjon å signere denne avtalen onsdag den 3.juli 2019 med Trygg av Natur og Ferd.
