  Ombygningen i eksisterende skole vil bestå i å endre romfunksjoner ved å rive vegger til større rom og i noen tilfeller bygge nye innervegger. Slik vil vi få et nytt auditorium i kjelleren, nye klasserom, grupperom og bibliotek i 1.etasje. I 2. etasje skal det etableres nye klasserom og grupperom samt at personalrom blir omorganisert. På loftet skal det etableres et nytt teknisk rom. Større deler av himlinger i 1. og 2.etasje vil også bli fjernet og erstattet med nye. I deler av korridorer vil både nedpendlet systemhimlinger med profiler bli erstattet. På andre steder vil bare platene erstattes. Noen steder vil fast gipshimling erstattes. Et nytt påbygg skal bygges oppe på den en-etasjes vaktmesterboligen. Påbygget skal fundamenteres på egne søyler. Selve vaktmesterboligen skal ikke endres. Det nye påbygget skal inneholde utvidete lærerarbeidsplasser, møterom og wc/dusj/garderober. Påbygget skal også inneholde et teknisk rom for ventilasjon. Påbygget forbindes med den eksiterende skolen med en bro over til personalrommene i 2. etasje. Kanaler fra ventilasjonsrommet går over til skolens loftetasje. Store deler av ventilasjonsanlegget er i dårlig forfatning. Nytt komplett ventilasjonsanlegg på store deler av skolen skal derfor være del av prosjektet.
