Det er behov for KOWA 600 Flaremeter ved Øyeavdelingen, da den gir klinikken en objektiv måte å kvantifisere lysvei på, noe som er viktig for å kunne styre avansert behandling på pasienter med uveitter. Dette gjelder behandling som immunsuppressiv/immunmodulerende behandling. Kowa FM Flaremeter er et instrument som brukes i diagnostisering og oppfølgning av denne pasientgruppen. Instrumentet gir klinikken en bedre metode for å bestemme forbedring/forverring av en klinisk inflammatorisk tilstand som uveitt. Det finnes ingen andre aktuelle leverandører på markedet, enn InnZ Medical AS som kan levere flaremeter med beskrevne funksjonaliteter. Anskaffelsens verdi er anslått til ca. 402.500,- ekskl. mva.
