Sikkerhet: Dette elektroniske legemiddelkabinettet er en spesialløsning for sykehjem, med sikrere endose-lagring av A og B preparater, automatisk narkotikaregnskap på A og B preparater, sikker lagring av C og F preparater, standardrapporter og bedre kontroll og styringsinformasjon, automatisk telling av medikamenter og uttak av disse, automatisk generering av bestillingsformular, automatisk lås til kjøleskap, sikker og presis adgangskontroll. Denne løsningen sikrer oss økt sikkerhet i medikamenthåndtering, og den vanskeliggjør feilplukking av medikamenter og dermed feilmedisinering. Synonympreparater håndteres direkte i systemet og ikke via manuelle lister som i dag. Vi unngår håndskrift med mulighet for feiltolkning. Bedre kontroll på lageret: Det blir registrert hva som hentes ut og til hvilken pasient medikamentet er ment for. Styringsdata og rapporter er tilgjengelig til enhver tid. Det er en automatisk telling av hvilke medikamenter som ligger på lager. Når det nærmer seg et minimumsnivå sender legemiddelkabinettet en bestilling til apoteket for påfyll. Retur av medisiner utgått på dato eller fra dosetter reduseres betydelig. Fremtidig retur vil bli registrert og lagt i en egen skuff i systemet. Dagens beholdere vil derfor bli overflødige. Muligheten for automatisk narkotikaregnskap og muligheten for å «levere» inn igjen A og B preparater som ikke brukes er en sikkerhet for at dette ikke skal komme uvedkommende i hende. Viktig at dette er en fleksibel løsning som gjør at vi kan endre og bygge på om behovet skulle endre seg. Dette elektroniske medikamentkabinettet kan kombineres med en mobil løsning/ medisintraller som er utstyrt med nettbrett, strekkodeleser, programvare inklusive medisineringsmodul. Legemiddelautomaten har blant annet følgende funksjoner: Integrasjon mot kommunens pasientjournal Gerica Integrasjon mot bestillingsløsning apotek Etablert løsning som flere kommuner allerede har erfaring med. Etter å ha utført markedsundersøkelser og hørt hva andre kommuner har gjort anses Health Tech som den eneste leverandøren som tilfredsstiller krav til ønsket løsning.
