Heim kommune har vedtatt å bygge et nytt moderne barnehagebygg, med nok plasser i årene som kommer. Barnehagen skal ha 6 avdelinger. Det nye bygget skal erstatte dagens to kommunale barnehager på Kyrksæterøra. Samtidig skal en strekning på fv. 6430 legges om forbi området og det skal etableres fortau fra kryss ved fv.680/fv.6430 til den nye barnehagen. Prosjektet gjennomføres som generalentreprise etter NS 8405.
