Tafjord Kraftvarme AS is considering the procurement and installation of a new large-scale seawater-source heat pump, intended to replace part of the existing capacity within the district heatingnetwork. The installation may be situated in an existing facility located by the sea, in Ålesund city centre.The primary objective is to establish a robust, efficient, and reliable heating solution that integrates seamlessly into the current district heating system. The seawater-source heat pump is expected to secure a long-term energy supply, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to TKV’s sustainability goals by reducing emissions and optimizing resource utilization.The scope of the RFI includes technologies that are capable of adapting to seasonal variations in seawater temperature and variable load conditions.
