Sunndal kommune skal bygge et nytt helsetun på eksisternede tomt på Sunndalsøra. Det nyehelsetunet skal dimensjoneres ut ifra 76 institusjonsplasser og 46 omsorgsboliger i bofellesskap, jfr. Helse -og omsorgsplan 2023-2030 Sunndal kommune. Tomten ligger i sentrum, ved kirka nord for RV70. Deler av eksisterende bygningsmasse må rives og det må etableres midlertidige institusjonsplasser- og omsorgsboliger i byggeperioden.
