Prosjektet omfatter oppgradering fra Visma Enterprise til Visma Enterprise Pluss i Visma sin skyløsning. Visma oppgraderer ikke lenger lokal installasjon med ny funksjonalitet og forbedringer. Lokal installasjon vil derfor bli utdatert og ikke inneha funksjonalitet Rana kommune har behov for. Som en følge av betydelig økning av cyberkriminalitet det siste året må Rana kommune iverksette tiltak for å sikre våre system og beslutningsgrunnlag i tillegg til å levere sikre tjenester. Å flytte lokal Visma til Visma i sky vil øke sikkerheten betydelig.
