Norske tog intends to purchase 6 trainsetsType 71 from Flytoget AS to serve our immediate need for spare parts and capacity. Type 71 has several similarities with Norske togs trainsets, Type 73. Type 71 and Type 73 has the same producer and share the same key features, except for interior and certain technical systems. Type 71 has been in operation in Norway, and does not require specific adaptations to norwegian conditions. Furthermore, parts from Type 71 may be used for Type 73. Flytoget has 6 trainsets available for immediate delivery within 2021. Total contract value for the purchase is 181 MNOK eks. mva. Norske tog has no knowledge of other suppliers that can fullfill Norske togs needs. The legal basis for conducting the purchase is the public procurement regulation for the utilities sectors, § 9-3 no.2 litra b). Flytoget is considered to be the only possible supplier, due to technical reasons.
