Anskaffelsens formål og omfang The purpose is to acquire a high capacity electromechanical universal testing machine that will be used for teaching, research and development. The machine will mainly be used to test bending-,tension-,compression- and shear properties of timber, wodden products and wodden construction elements. Testing of in-plane shear and out-of-plane bending of CLT elements are two examples of use. It may also be used for testing other materials than Wood. At the same time MINA wants to modernize an Instron 1185 electromechanical 100kN universal testing machine. The modernization is to be regarded as an option from the buyer and it depsnds on the totale cocts being lower than the budget.
